Dr. Mark Wilkinson, DMA, SHS, holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Voice Performance and the Singing Health Specialist certificate from The Ohio State University, a collaboration between the departments of music, speech and hearing science, and otolaryngology. At once a singing teacher and voice scientist, Dr. Mark is one of Canada's leading voice pedagogues with a singular ability to habilitate and rehabilitate both professional and aspiring professional voice users. In addition to his rare background in clinical voice therapy and laryngology, he is known as an expert in educational psychology, curriculum design, and the neuroscience of learning.
He is available as a master teacher, group clinician, or individual coach. His clients include professional actors, public speakers, classical singers, pop artists, choral groups, and a range of conservatory and recreational students. He has taught formally at The Ohio State University, the Ottawa School of Speech and Drama and Ottawa Theatre School, the University of Alberta, and the University of Ottawa. He has presented guest lectures and masterclasses at the University of Toronto, Wright State University, Concordia University of Edmonton, and for countless choirs, professional corporations, and high schools.
